What is the disclaimer (rights, privacy, etc.)?

All data within VintageOS is merely my opinion on a specific subject and/or group of. It is by no means an advertisement, sponsorship and/or endorsement and/or association with any third-party vendor, provider and/or website including, but not limited to goods and/or services listed herein or not. In other words, I am not paid and/or coerced in any form for any of the material covered in this website.

Affiliation (or rather lack of)

VintageOS is not affiliated with any type of organization ad/or group related to computer systems, technology, spamming, hacking and/or of any other nature at all, unless specified in writing. VintageOS is not in any way responsible for content in external websites although they might be used for definitions of various terms and/or for reference. Any links to any questionable material will be removed at my sole discretion and/or by petition via email.

Third-Party Media

All third-party Media including, but not limited to images, are either public domain or copyrighted by their owners, hence used as reference in place of public domain. Media including, but not limited to images, are considered to be used under fair use practice as stated.

Tracking

Cookies used in VintageOS are provided by the web host — currently GitHub, which also provides the HTTPS connection. Traffic statistics (sole purpose) are provided by Google Analytics. As such, VintageOS does NOT collect any personal data.

Terms of Use

You are welcome to use VintageOS as a source of information on different operating systems at your sole discretion since I offer no guarantee that the information herein is fully accurate, regardless how much I have tried. As such, you are welcome to use it "as-is". I do not claim to be an expert on any of the subjects covered herein. Just like most geeks, I am constantly learning, testing and breaking new as well as vintage (old, obsolete, ancient, historical, retro) technologies. If you have any questions and/or want to correct any errors, you are welcome to contact me to correct any errors that you find. If you desire, you can copy and/or steal the contents for your school reports, but do NOT publish it on other websites and/or other media and say that you wrote this information. The latter would not be nice and is actually a form of plagiarism. You can credit VintageOS and give VintageOS a link — thanks in advance.

VintageOS uses third-party material as reference only and does not claim any level of ownership of such intellectual property. Most material, especially images, are taken from the public domain and/or using license granted for open use. Some material, especially images, are taken from vendors and/or other providers when the latter two (2) sources are not available with the proper ownership information.
